Cancer Services (Oncology)The CaroMont Cancer Center is proud to be designated as a Community Hospital Comprehensive Cancer Program by the American College of Surgeons Commission on Cancer. Our complete oncology team includes board-certified radiation oncologists, medical oncologists and surgeons. Other specialists include radiation therapists, licensed counselor, dietitians, medical physics, a cancer registry staff, case managers and chaplains. Our nurses are educated by Oncology Nursing Society standards and are Oncology Certified.
Diabetes ServicesOur mission is “to provide progressive, individualized diabetes education to patients and their families, from basic skills to advanced self-management strategies.” The CaroMont Diabetes Center team will partner with you and the other members of your healthcare team, with the goal of increasing your self-management skills. Your primary care provider will receive a summary of the education you receive, as well as your ongoing support needs. Our belief is that people with diabetes can lead healthy, productive and enjoyable lives.
Emergency & Trauma ServicesThe CaroMont Emergency Trauma Services at Gaston Memorial Hospital stands ready to handle all manner of emergency and life threatening medical conditions. With a dedicated 14,000 square foot facility housing over 50 beds and staffed by 28 Board Certified Emergency Medicine Physicians and 200 other emergency services employees, it is one of North Carolina’s busiest.
Heart & Vascular ServicesCaroMont Heart Center exemplifies CaroMont Health's goal to provide the finest comprehensive care to those in our area. Bringing a full range of cardiac care to the region, CaroMont Heart Center allows people to receive the life-saving treatment they need, close to home. The Center provides comprehensive cardiac care from Chest Pain Evaluation to Open Heart Surgery to Post hospital Education and Support
Hospice & Palliative CareDealing with a serious life-threatening illness can be overwhelming and difficult to handle for patients and loved ones. At Gaston Hospice, we help those with little time left confront their limitations and enhance their quality of life. Hospice patients are cared for where they live, whether that happens to be their family home, a long-term care facility or Gaston Hospice’s own 12-bed inpatient facility, the Robin Johnson House.
Immediate CareCLiC, CaroMont Health's convenient, immediate care clinic provides top-quality care for non-critical medical problems. Immediate care provided by CLiC is faster than urgent care, faster than the ER - yet offers the same level of care you've come to expect from CaroMont Health.
Long Term Care ServicesMental Health ServicesCaroMont Center for Mental Wellness provides comprehensive inpatient care for patients needing psychiatric treatment. This care includes 24-hour assessment services in the emergency department and age-specific programs in the inpatient setting. CaroMont Center for Mental Wellness has 63 licensed inpatient beds with an average of 165 admissions per month.

Rehabilitation ServicesSleep MedicineA good night’s sleep is something that most of us take for granted. But for millions of Americans, getting a good night’s sleep and waking up feeling rested is extremely difficult. Symptoms from sleep disorders range in severity – from excessive daytime drowsiness to seizures, and in some cases, even death.
Surgical ServicesInpatient and outpatient surgery services are provided in the hospital’s Perioperative Services Surgery Department, which is equipped with 10 highly advanced operating rooms and two cystoscopy suites. Selected outpatient procedures, including low-risk and minor surgeries, are also performed in the outpatient surgery facility. The facility includes six operating rooms. Together, these departments deliver a sophisticated level of technology and skill to more than 1,500 patients per month.
Wellness ProgramsThe purpose of our Wellness Programs is to improve the quality of life of the people in the communities we serve. We accomplish this through our various wellness programs classes, community events, and general health awareness and information efforts. Each program is designed to encourage, inspire and challenge you to make live your life to it's fullest, everyday. From managing stress to managing your daily exercise, there is a class, program or event designed to meet your needs.
Women’s ServicesCaroMont Health offers a complete and extensive variety of women's health services. We care for women throughout the stages of their lives, from childbirth and post partum to menopause and beyond.
Wound CareChronic wounds can cause complex medical problems, including loss of function, pain and compromised quality of life. Many wounds heal without intensive intervention. However, certain conditions, such as diabetes, vascular disease or limited movement put patients at risk for non-healing or chronic wounds that last more than four weeks.
