Tabetha Nail never expected to spend the first days of her son’s
life in the neonatal intensive care unit. The staff at CaroMont’s
Birthplace and NICU made sure Tabetha had all the support needed. Seventeen
months later, her strong, healthy son needed surgery to remove his adenoids.
Once again, Tabetha watched CaroMont go the extra mile to care for her
son. When the nurse recognized that Tabetha’s 17-month old son was
new to walking and hesitant to head back into the OR without his mom,
she knew just what to do. She offered to “race” him down the
hall, letting him walk happily into the OR without any tears or fear.
