Application Process
Applications for all CaroMont Regional Medical Center pharmacy residency
programs will only be accepted using the
PhORCAS system.
The deadline for all application materials is usually in early January of each year. Please see the ASHP Residency information
page or feel free to e-mail the program director.
Letter of Intent: This is an essential part of the application as it allows reviewers to
gain insight into you as a person – your achievements, obstacles,
goals, values, and areas otherwise unknown to the reviewer. It should
also demonstrate your knowledge of the program including what elements
interest you most and how it relates to your personal goals.
Letters of Recommendation: three electronic reference forms are required to be completed using the
standardized form available in PhORCAS. Please consider your references
carefully. We want information from people who will help us get to know
you and understand how well you will succeed in our program. Please ask
your references to provide detailed comments in the specific comment sections
in addition to ratings. In general, the following people tend to write
helpful letters: preceptors for clinical rotations, clinical faculty,
advisors/employers that know you well.
