Joint Care Plus Program

The Joint Care Plus program at CaroMont Health is a comprehensive Orthopaedic program based on proven practices. The Human Motion Institute's Joint Care Plus program focuses heavily on the patient’s experience and providing patients and their “coaches” information about their procedure ahead of time. Our goal is to prepare patients for what they can expect before, during and after surgery. We provide extensive pre-surgery patient education opportunities in a classroom environment, allowing patients and their coaches the opportunity to ask questions and gain as much information as possible by our multidisciplinary team prior to their admission to CaroMont Health. During the patient’s Joint Care Plus experience, they will attend physical therapy classes with a group of fellow patients twice daily and they will have opportunity to attend a specialized postoperative educational session.

The Joint Care Plus program is available to patients receiving total joint replacement surgeries. The program currently works with patients undergoing full or partial replacements of the shoulder, hip or knee joints. Our team of experts includes physicians, nurses, therapists and other healthcare professionals, whose goal is to return our patients home as quickly as possible while achieving maximum function as safely and quickly as possible.

CaroMont Regional Medical Center participates in the Medicare initiative called the Comprehensive Care for Joint Replacement (CJR) model. Click here to learn more.
