Comprehensive Oncology Care
CaroMont Health's Comprehensive Cancer Center is the only hospital-based
cancer treatment center in Gaston County that provides medical, radiation
and surgical oncology services, in addition to important patient support
services like medical imaging, infusion therapy, hospice and clinical trials.
The program is nationally accredited by the Commission on Cancer and has
earned a full three-year approval award from the American College of Surgeons
(ACOS) with Commendation. In addition, the program is also nationally
accredited by the National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers (NAPBC).
Our cancer program provides advanced treatment therapies as well as skilled
cancer specialists, including board-certified medical, surgical and radiation
oncologists. Personal care plans, coordinated by a team of physicians,
may employ chemotherapy, medical oncology or a combination of treatments.
The oncologists are supported by a team of highly-skilled providers and
staff, including oncology-certified nurses, nurse practitioners, nurse
navigators, physicists, dosimetrists, lab and diagnostic technologists,
licensed clinical social workers, oncology counselors, radiation therapists
and nutritional experts.
Together, the CaroMont Health staff brings a level of expertise and comprehensive
care to each patient we have the privilege to serve.
