On Wednesday, December 19, CaroMont Family Medicine and CaroMont Urgent
Care opened to new and existing patients. The practice, located at 600
W Trade Street in Dallas, N.C., will be lead by four providers of the
highest talent and character, who will offer greater access to an advanced
care network to the region.

Kenneth Burgess, MD – Family Medicine Physician, CaroMont Family
Medicine in Dallas
A long-time CaroMont Medical Group family medicine physician, Dr. Burgess
is relocating his practice from Gastonia to the new Dallas facility. Dr.
Burgess is a graduate of the University of North Carolina Medical School
and completed his residency at Self Memorial Hospital in Greenwood, S.C.
He is board certified by the American Board of Family Medicine and has
more 34 years of experience in family medicine.

Ms. Kera Selzer – Nurse Practitioner, CaroMont Family Medicine in Dallas
Ms. Selzer is new to CaroMont Medical Group and is a 2013 graduate of the
Medical University of South Carolina. She certified as a Family Nurse
Practioner by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners.

Joseph McShea, DO – Family Medicine Physician, CaroMont Urgent Care in Dallas
Dr. McShea earned his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from the Chicago Osteopathic
Health System in Chicago, Ill., where he also completed his internship
and residency. He is board certified by the American Osteopathic Board
of Family Physicians and has been practicing Family Medicine for more
than 20 years.

Ms. Leah Doane – Physician Assistant, CaroMont Urgent Care in Dallas
Ms. Doane has been practicing with CaroMont Health since 2016 and is looking
forward to seeing patients in the new Dallas facility. She received her
master’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies from Kettering College
in Kettering, Ohio.
CaroMont Family Medicine in Dallas will be open Monday through Friday from
8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. CaroMont Urgent Care will be open seven days a
