Combe Be a Part of the Action at the CaroMont Community Challenge on May 14!
Need volunteer hours or interested in getting more involved in the community?
CaroMont Health is looking for volunteers to help at the third annual
CaroMont Community Challenge, a 5K, one-mile walk and festival, on Saturday,
May 14. More than 700 walkers and runners are expected to participate
in this year’s health and wellness event at Stuart W. Cramer High
School in Belmont.
Not running or walking but still want to be involved? From cheering on
race participants to handing out prizes, there are plenty of volunteer
roles that still need to be filled, including:
- Registration
- T-shirt Pickup
- Rest Stop Host
- Route Marshal/Crossing Guard
- Prize Tent
- Start and Finish Line Celebration
- Pre-race Packet Pickup
Individuals interested in volunteering should sign up online at
caromontcommunitychallenge.com, where they will be prompted to pick their top, three volunteer roles.
Once registered, volunteers will be contacted by an event coordinator
with their volunteer assignment, explanation of duties and further instruction.
Groups are also welcome to volunteer and will be assigned to more specific
roles such as Rest Stop Hosts and Finish Line Celebration. Groups interested
in volunteering should contact Laura Anderson at
landerson@tcgevents.com.
On event day, volunteers will be directed to check in at the volunteer
tent where they will receive instructions for the day and general information
about the event. The volunteer tent will serve as the central meeting
point for volunteers throughout the day. Arrival times and duration will
vary depending on volunteer roles. All volunteers will receive a free t-shirt!
