Caromont’s Health & Fitness Center is a full-service Fitness Center open to the community. With state-of-the-art cardio and strength equipment, a variety of group exercise classes, personal training, a monthly wellness education series and a friendly, very knowledgeable staff. Our team members stand out from other fitness locations with degrees in Exercise Science, related fields and are certified in various aspects of health and fitness. Membership rates are affordable with no initiation fees.

Feel free to drop in for a visit. The Fitness Center is at 660 Summit Crossing Place, Suite 302. Located conveniently on Court Drive between New Hope Road and Cox Road. Watch for the Summit Building landmark then navigate to the 3rd floor of the Summit building.

Exercise is Medicine Referral Program
The efficacy of exercise to prevent and treat chronic disease and illness is well documented. The 12-week, discounted physician referral program will help you reduce and/or eliminate the risk factors associated with chronic disease. This program is ideal for those wishing to better manage: blood pressure, cholesterol, body weight, diabetes, cancer, stress, depression, low back discomfort and more.

CaroMont Health has a knowledgeable team of Exercise Physiologists and Trainers who will design and supervise a customized exercise program to meet your health and fitness needs. Ask your physician for a referral to Caromont’s Health & Fitness Center or pick-up a referral form from the Center for them to complete.

Silver Sneakers

Available to anyone affiliated with an insurance provider who offers Silver Sneakers and has their 16-digit ID number. Use of the Center is unlimited and group exercise classes are included. We also offer Silver Sneaker classes (check the group exercise class schedule for days and times).

Personal Training

Personal training is an excellent way to get started and/or stay consistent with your exercise program. Whether it’s general overall fitness you seek or a specific health concern such as weight loss, disease prevention/management, and/or an improved quality of life, our Certified Personal Trainers are here for you. Affordable individual sessions and packages are available.

Specialized Training

We currently also offer specialized training for areas such as cheerleading, Yoga and Spin. A great option to the group environment, specialized training offers you a 1-on-1 session in these areas.

Cardiopulmonary Phase III

Designed to help individuals who have graduated from Cardiac or Pulmonary Rehab, Cardiopulmonary Phase III is a 6-week program restoring independence and confidence at the fitness center. Healthy lifestyles behaviors are encouraged and supported to help reduce the risk of an individual experiencing event recurrence following Rehab. This program incorporates cardiovascular, strength, and flexibility exercise into a supervised program. Each participant will have an individual exercise plans to help them set and reach their goals!

Jump Start

The Jump Start weight management program is a 12-week program that uses weekly lifestyle lessons, group exercise and group discussion to help you set and achieve realistic weight loss goals

Winning Weighs for Women

Winning Weighs for Women is a 12-week program designed to help women learn healthy lifestyle behaviors! This program incorporates behavior modification, nutrition education, and exercise in 8 weekly lessons with pre and post screen metrics.

Program objectives:

  • Learn healthy lifestyle behaviors
  • Aim to exercise at least 30 min. most days of the week (150 min/week)
  • Learn how to manage stress in healthy ways
  • Learn to eat healthy snacks daily
  • Set personal long and short term goals

Participants will have a pre screen for base line metric and post screen to see positive change over the course of the program. Participants will meet weekly for 8 educational lessons with exercise and have access to the fitness center for the duration of the program!

Low Back Exercise Class

It’s been said that over 80% of us will experience low back pain or discomfort at least once during our lifetime. . . most of these are a result of muscle deficiencies such as tight and/or weak muscles.

This 5-week progressive exercise class is ideal for those who suffer from occasional or chronic low back discomfort or for those wishing to prevent it. Also good for those who have had back surgery and/or have been diagnosed with a disc disorder and have had little or no long-term relief.


P.R.I.D.E is an 8-week cancer wellness program designed to assist in managing the physical, social and psychological side effects of cancer treatment for survivors during their treatment and/or recovery phases. The primary goals for the program are to improve survivorship by

  • Reducing Fatigue
  • Maintaining or Improving Strength and Endurance
  • Increasing Independence for Normal Daily Activities
  • Improving Overall Quality of Life

Participants meet twice a week, usually around noon on Tuesdays and Thursdays. During the 8 weeks, they will receive an individualized exercise program that consists of an Exercise Assessment and Prescription by a Clinical Exercise Physiologist, access to a Registered Dietitian and Registered Nurse, cardiovascular and resistance exercise sessions, weekly massages and weekly lectures on Health and lifestyle topics!

The OSTEO Program
Osteoporosis is becoming more and more prevalent in both men and women over the age of 50. As a response to this, Caromont Health and Fitness is implementing a unique new program designed to enhance both muscle and bone strength. The program consists of 10, 30-minute supervised exercise sessions utilizing lightweight and slow reps, ideal for this population.

Golf Fitness Academy

The comprehensive golf fitness program at CaroMont Health and Fitness is ideal for golfers of all ages and levels. Its practical application is instrumental in assessing and improving golf-specific muscular strength, flexibility, balance, and power. If you want to play better, healthier golf it's time to focus on the mechanism that's swinging the golf club. . .you the golfer.

The components of this individualized, one-on-one program include:

  • A golf physical screen to identify your specific muscle deficiencies
  • A 2D swing analysis that tracks your body movement and positions throughout the swing sequence
  • An initial set of customized exercises designed to target and improve the identified muscle deficiencies

Informed Consent and Release of Liability


According to the World Health Organization, “Childhood obesity is one of the most serious public health challenges of the 21st century.” The percent of adolescents aged 12-19 who were obese increased from 5% in 1980 to nearly 21% in 2012. Overall, nearly one third of children and adolescents are overweight or obese.

The most common causes are genetic factors, lack of physical activity, unhealthy eating patterns, or a combination of these factors. Overweight and obese children are likely to stay obese into adulthood and more likely to develop noncommunicable diseases like diabetes and cardiovascular diseases at a younger age. Overweight and obesity, as well as their related diseases, are largely preventable.

To expand the many health benefits exercise has to offer and to help teens get started on the right track, CaroMont’s Health & Fitness Center would like to offer a Teen Fitness Certification Program. Teens 13 years of age or older would be allowed to use the Fitness Center on their own once they have gone through a certification process. This process is warranted to ensure safety and to encourage optimum benefits from the exercise program.

The Wellness Series

Each month we offer a FREE educational workshop in the Fitness Center. They are open to the public and everyone is invited. Experts in their respective fields will discuss topics on various health, fitness and wellness issues.
