CaroMont Care Advocates
A Community-Based Patient Advisory Council
The CaroMont Care Advocates (CCA) is a diverse group of patients, family
and community members who meet regularly to advise CaroMont Health on
how we can provide better patient-centered care and fulfill our mission
to provide exceptional health care to the communities we serve.
The mission of the CaroMont Care Advocates Council is to advocate for patients
and their families by advising CaroMont Health and Medical Staff Leadership
on decisions that will guide them in creating and sustaining a patient
and family centered environment of caring and provide exceptional healthcare
to the communities CaroMont Health serves.
The goals of the council are:
Delivery of Safe and Patient Focused Services: To serve as advisors to Senior Leadership and CaroMont Health staff to
assure that care and services are safe, efficient and patient and family focused.
Integrating the Voice of the Patient: To lend a patient and family perspective in the development of new services
or the improvement of existing services throughout CaroMont Health.
Education: To create educational opportunities that improve sensitivity to patient
and family concerns, and to suggest effective ways of managing the staff-to-patient
and family relationship.
Enhancing Communicaiton: To encourage patients and families to communicate their needs and concerns
and to assist CaroMont Health in developing effective methods of addressing
these needs and concerns, and to help CaroMont Health achieve a Highly
Reliable Organization and Zero Harm.
