Congestive Heart Failure accounts for the single largest number of hospital admissions in the United States. Heart failure is a complex clinical syndrome whose effective treatment requires close coordination between inpatient and outpatient care. An integrated heart failure treatment program including specialized inpatient heart failure units and outpatient clinics are being developed at Gaston Memorial Hospital and CaroMont Health. CaroMont Health has been recognized as a national leader in the care of patients with heart failure and has been awarded advanced certification.
