CaroMont Cancer Center
The CaroMont Health Comprehensive Cancer Center is the only hospital based cancer treatment center in Gaston County, North Carolina that provides medical, radiation and surgical oncology plus important patient support services like medical imaging, infusion therapy, hospice and innovative clinical trials.
The program is nationally accredited by the Commission on Cancer and has earned a full three-year approval award from the American College of Surgeons (ACOS) with Commendation.
The program has recently been nationally accredited by the National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers (NAPBC).
The CaroMont Health cancer program provides advanced treatment therapies as well as skilled cancer specialists, including board certified medical, surgical and radiation oncologists.
The oncologists are supported by a staff of oncology-certified nurses, nurse practitioners, nurse navigators, physicists, dosimetrists, lab and diagnostic technologists, licensed clinical social workers, oncology counselors, radiation therapists and nutritional experts.
Together, the CaroMont staff brings a level of expertise and comprehensive care to each of the patients we serve.
A multidisciplinary approach implements the most current philosophies in cancer therapy. Personal care plans, coordinated by a team of physicians, may employ chemotherapy, medical oncology, or a combination of treatments.
