Physicians Councils

CaroMont Health Physicians Councils
Within the CaroMont Health medical staff are five Physician Councils — groups of physicians from a range of disciplines focused on a particular patient population, disease condition or care continuum. These councils are used as forums to evaluate and align new services, enhance care coordination, sharpen our focus and streamline the health care operating system.
Each of the councils is a multidisciplinary team led by physicians and charged with developing strategies to coordinate and improve care while understanding the need to reduce costs and to enhance the patient experience in their area of the health care system. The councils review metrics and share data about cost and utilization.
The following five councils were formed in 2010:
- Surgery Council
- Women and Children’s Health Council
- Oncology Council
- Ortho/Neuro Council
- Primary Care Council
