CaroMont Regional Medical Center Volunteers Recognized with Five-Star Award

The CaroMont Regional Medical Center Auxiliary received the North Carolina Hospital Volunteer (NCHV) Five-Star Award. Each year, North Carolina hospitals submit information detailing their participation in various events such as district meetings, fundraisers, award luncheons, as well as, general hospital information regarding size, hospital donations to the community, etc.

“Our volunteers strive for excellence every day in providing exceptional care for our patients, families, visitors and staff,” commented Julie Young, Volunteer Services Coordinator. “This award shows they succeed.”

Recipients of this award receive a rating of one to five with five being the highest honor. Vivian Duncan, State Board Member Representative, presented the award to Shirley Wriston, GMH Auxiliary President, and the Auxiliary Committee during their meeting last month.
All entries are reviewed by the NCHV, a state-wide organization that “provides leadership, advocacy and resources to create dynamic volunteerism in the healthcare provider organizations of North Carolina”.
