January 20, 2011 - CaroMont Health is pleased to share the following organizational change.
Jerome Levine, MD will be joining CaroMont Health as Executive Vice President,
Clinical Integration and Chief Medical Officer (CMO). Dr. Levine will
report to Valinda Rutledge and will oversee the Vice President of Medical
Affairs, Vice President of Management and Physician Recruitment, Assistant
Vice President of Quality Management, Physician Council Leadership and
Dr. Levine’s primary focus will be integrate the new vision of health
care into CaroMont Health by leading CaroMont in the process of becoming
an ACO, working closely with CaroMont Medical Group and the physician
practices, and expanding CaroMont’s quality initiatives.
Dr. Levine graduated from New York University School of Medicine in 1976,
and completed a 3-year medical residency at NYU Medical Center- Manhattan
VA Hospital. After an additional year as Chief Medical Resident at The
Manhattan VA Hospital, he completed his Fellowship in Infectious Diseases
at the Manhattan VA Hospital. Levine joined Hackensack University Medical
Center in 1994 as Chief of the Infectious Disease Division and later became
Physician Liaison of Quality and Safety. He was honored as one of the
“Top Docs” in New York Magazine in Infectious Diseases for
both 1999 and 2000.
Dr. Levine has 28 years of experience as a senior clinical leader. His
experience in clinical integration, developing and implementing new initiatives
as well as coordinating quality and performance improvement programs will
serve him well in his new role at CaroMont.
