CaroMont Health Adds Director of Cardiothoracic Surgery

Gastonia, NC – October 21, 2010 – Today, CaroMont Health announced the addition of James P. Greelish, M.D. as Director of Cardiothoracic Surgery. Dr. Greelish comes to CaroMont from Vanderbilt University where he was Director of Research and Education in the Department of Cardiac Surgery and will practice at Carolina Cardiovascular and Thoracic Center. He received his doctorate in medicine from Wake Forest School of Medicine.

Dr. Greelish completed three years of Cardiothoracic Surgery residency and fellowship at Brigham and Women’s Hospital at Harvard Medical School as well as a post-doctoral research fellowship at the Institute for Human Gene Therapy at the University of Pennsylvania. He is Board Certified by the American Board of Surgery as well as the American Board of Thoracic Surgery. Dr. Greelish will practice at Carolina Cardiovascular and Thoracic Center at 2555 Court Drive, Suite 270, in Gastonia.
